Award-winning engine distributor, Anderson Industrial Engines Co., Inc. (AIE) is looking for a talented Service Specialist with ‘hands-on’ experience performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services on diesel and spark-ignited engines, generators, and industrial power equipment. The Service Specialist position will assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics of this equipment primarily via the telephone or email. Some limited fieldwork or in-person visits may be required on an “as-needed basis.”
Duties and responsibilities include
- Provide support as an advisory specialist for a service dealer network committed to following our vendors and AIE expectations and professional standards.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment when providing technical support and when collecting and evaluating necessary information and failed parts to file warranty claims with vendors.
- Manage relationships individually and throughout the organization to achieve excellent customer and vendor satisfaction levels.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines ranging from 5-800HP.
- Consult with customers on service and repair issues primarily via email and phone. Some limited in-person visits may be required on an “as-needed basis”.
- Work independently, with limited supervision, to accomplish all service and warranty requirements for the division.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Be on the on-call rotation for the 24/7 technical support hotline.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3+ years of diesel and/or spark-ignited engine experience.
- Experience with electronic, hydraulic, and power generation systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Efficient in Microsoft Office.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Maintain a professional appearance at the office and when conducting company business away from the office.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, with limited general supervision.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work on your feet for periods of up to 4 hours.
