The Summit at Snoqualmie Competition Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and managing all on-snow competitive programs within the resort. This position encompasses planning, organizing, growing and executing on daily competitive programing, and the occasional event as it relates to Freeride, SPARC, Freestyle and other competitive programs, ensuring these events align with the resort's strategic goals.
Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long.
Responsibilities:Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Create, coordinate, and deliver an engaging calendar of competitions.
- Ensure all athletes, trainings, and competitions are compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Work with Northwest Region (USSS), Northwest Freestyle, IFSA, USASA, and US Ski and Snowboard Events Team.
- Oversee the Freeride, Freestyle, and SPARC teams ensuring the department is effectively staffed and equipped to meet the demands of competitions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all competitions, including results, participant data, and logistical details.
- Align competition offerings with the resort's overall strategic goals and objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with local and national governing bodies to stay updated on competition guidelines and opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and officials to ensure clarity on competition details and requirements.
- Experience or education in Sports Management, Event Management, Recreation Management, or related field
- Proven experience in competition and racing, preferably within a ski resort or similar environment
- USSS membership and officials' certification
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Additional certifications in freestyle, freeride, or alpine disciplines

Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $29.00 to $35.00 DOE
This is a non-benefited role.
All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
