Position Overview:
- This position is responsible for locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Locates and packs materials for shipping. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Job Functions:
- Receiving and verifying shipments:
- Unloading incoming deliveries, checking for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies.
- Picking and packing orders:
- Selecting items from inventory based on customer orders, accurately packaging them according to shipping specifications, and labeling packages.
- Palletizing and staging:
- Arranging items on pallets for efficient loading onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Loading and unloading trucks:
- Operating forklifts or pallet jacks to safely load and unload shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Inventory management:
- Maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning items, updating stock levels, and reporting shortages.
- Labeling and documentation:
- Affixing proper shipping labels, completing necessary paperwork, and adhering to shipping regulations.
- Quality control:
- Inspecting items for defects and ensuring packaging integrity before shipment.
- Safety compliance:
- Following warehouse safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment, and reporting any hazards.
- Must be familiar with, and follow, all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
- Knowledge of how and where to locate procedures and forms relevant to this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience in warehouse or related industry.
- Indoctrination and understanding of NRP’s Quality Manual and specified requirements regarding job responsibilities.
- Product knowledge.
- Forklift Operator (must pass test)
- Strong literacy and comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of company indoctrination.
- Successful completion of safety training programs.
- Understanding of the company’s Quality System and processes.
