We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Sales Representative who is comfortable building a remote territory through inside sales contact. If you are hungry, self-motivated, results driven professional that is strong at building rapport then this is the right role for you!
You will drive your territory’s growth through lead generation, targeting mid-sized to enterprise-level businesses; developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients. Daily tasks include identifying sales prospects, making outbound calls, presenting Sportiqe products, and meeting sales targets. You will collaborate closely with internal design, production, and logistics teams to deliver tailored apparel solutions that meet each client’s quality, branding, and commercial goals.
This is a full-time on-site role based in our Tempe, AZ office, - though your assigned territory may be out-of-state. Only 10% travel to the assigned territory is required.
Competitive starting salary: $50k base plus a recoverable draw in your first year
Monthly Commission: Uncapped!
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $100k+ per year

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE - Business Development Sales
- Prospecting is an essential part of this role. Finding contacts and cultivating business relationships via email, phone, and video chat to qualify sales leads across a variety of industries including sports, entertainment, destination and lifestyle brands.
- Uncover customer needs and present the proper solution by demonstrating knowledge of Sportiqe’s products and value propositions.
- Negotiate and close deals with customers, while setting the correct expectations for the next steps and fulfillment.
- Care for accounts; giving them speedy and attentive customer service, collaborating with Sales Support, and other internal teams through proactive communication and follow-through to create and deliver white-glove customer experience.
- Continue to adapt and grow in this role; be willing to learn and improve to contribute to a winning team where we’re all in it together.
WHO YOU ARE FOR THE TEAM - Business Development Sales
- You have at least 1.5 years of experience in either Inside Sales, B2B wholesale, or Apparel related sales with proven results prospecting for your leads and building a consistent account base.
- You are determined and motivated. You take initiative; you don’t sit and wait for leads to come to you but relish finding most of your own leads and opportunities through engaging potential prospects and making meaningful connections.
- Strong ability to build rapport. Listen, ask effective questions, share Sportiqe’s compelling story, and provide ROI to build growing partnerships with our clients.
- Highly organized and detail oriented to build consistency, trust, and deliver to the customer’s needs. Daily execution and follow-through are key to building momentum!
- You have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned metrics month after month.
- Resilient and Positive. You can take several no’s to get to a yes, stay composed in the face of conflict, and handle hiccups with ease creating comfort for our clients.
- Basic B2B sales acumen including building and maintaining a pipeline, handling discovery calls and presentations, understanding lead times and buying cycles, negotiation and consultative selling.
- CRM experience, and tech/software savvy. Proficient in Google Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales and organizational tools. Zoho experience a plus!
- You have the ability to travel about 10% to your assigned territory each year. Also, proven experience working in remote and distributed teams in a regional or territory sales model.
- Preferred experience and understanding with apparel and screen print design sales and business development.
