Summary:
The Field Operations Specialist will be responsible for the coordination, administration, and execution of flooring installation projects across various locations. This position requires experienced problem solving with strong organizational skills, hands-on experience with flooring installation, and the ability to manage multiple job sites simultaneously. This role involves thorough communication with customers and direct oversight of installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for client and customer, providing regular updates and managing any changes in project scope or deadlines.
- Develop detailed plans for each flooring installation, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Oversee daily on-site projects, ensuring all installations meet specifications, quality, and safety standards.
- Monitor project budgets, manage expenses, and seek cost-saving opportunities.
- Address and resolve on-site challenges, including material delays or installation issues, in a professional and urgent manner
- Identify quality issues and assist installers in improving their skills and in rectifying re-occurring issues.
- Conduct virtual service appointments to resolve customer complaints to investigate and conduct an inspection.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety protocols, industry standards, and local building codes.
- Lead and mentor installation crews, providing support and guidance throughout the project.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, work orders, and final project closeouts.
- Regular travel to customer sites to perform job duties, ensuring timely and effective service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must involve customer service management. Previous experience working in both residential and commercial flooring installations is preferred.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write letters and prepare other documents as needed. Proofreads work.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills – Ability to use multiple software programs, computer, iPhones, tablets, and peripheral equipment; knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and email.
- Communication Skills –- Be able to communicate orally and in writing in English effectively.
- Ability to drive and maintain a driver’s license with personal car insurance. Must meet criteria to drive for company business.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 65 lbs.
- Must be able to perform frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Vision – Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents.
- Valid Driver’s License – A current and valid driver’s license is required.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from customer sites.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The work environment generally consists of indoor heated and cooled office space. This position will work primarily from home but will require travel.
