1. Project & Delivery Management
Own the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, delivery, and closure.
Define and manage delivery timelines, milestones, scope, and resources.
Serve as the primary contact for client stakeholders; manage expectations and communication.
Identify and mitigate risks, handle escalations, and ensure SLA compliance.
Track and report on delivery metrics: velocity, timelines, quality, budget, etc.
2. Technical Leadership
Provide architectural guidance and oversee technical design and implementation.
Ensure engineering best practices: code quality, testing, security, CI/CD, and performance.
Review technical decisions, remove roadblocks, and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
Stay updated on technology trends and advise clients and internal teams on adoption.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers (and possibly QA, DevOps).
Conduct performance reviews, goal-setting, and career growth planning.
Promote a healthy team culture with collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
Hire and onboard engineering talent based on evolving project needs.
4. Stakeholder & Client Management
Build strong client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and identify growth opportunities.
Translate business needs into technical goals and vice versa.
Align client goals with delivery roadmaps and internal capacity.
5. Process & Operational Excellence
Define and refine Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery processes.
Continuously improve engineering workflows and delivery models.
Ensure alignment with organizational standards (security, compliance, quality).
6. Budgeting & Resource Management
Manage project budgets, resource forecasts, and cost optimization.
Work with business leaders to ensure profitability and resource utilization.
