Hybrid Evening Events Associate en Tennessee Aquarium

The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. We are looking for individuals who will be responsible for providing world-class customer service during evening and weekend events.

The Evening Events Associate is responsible for providing world-class customer service during evening and weekend events. Event Associates must always maintain a pleasant disposition and must be able to work at least one event per month. The frequency of events can range from one to two events per month up to one to two events per week.

Key Responsibilities
1.Ensures total guest satisfaction within Evening Event operations.
2.Actively engages and communicates with guests, staff, and management.
3.Appropriately responds to issues that arise with guests, logistics, or otherwise.
4.Adheres to company standards in cashiering and money handling procedures.
5.Assists management with essential department functions and event details as needed, including but not limited to event setup and breakdown.
6.Transitions between job functions seamlessly, accurately, and quickly.
7.Maintains a clean work environment at all times.
8.Works closely with outside services to ensure Aquarium guidelines, quality standards, and recycling efforts are upheld.
9.Has a working knowledge of Aquarium campus, exhibits, and venue locations.
10.Assists other Aquarium and IMAX staff as needed.

Key Requirements
•Previous experience with Point-of-Sales systems
•Experience handling money
•Excellent customer service skills
•Excellent communication skills
•Positive, good-humored, and professional attitude
•Strong multitasking ability and ability to perform well under pressure during events
•Attention to detail
•Ability to complete tasks in a responsible manner independently

Part-time; hourly (Mostly evening and weekend work; shifts could range from 1-2 events per month to 1-2 events per week, based on demand and availability.)
