Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to support and coordinate daily operations of our Assembly Line during the first shift. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will lead a team of associates, ensure adherence to quality standards, and maintain efficiency across processes. Your expertise will play a key role in training new team members and maintaining operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles.

  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage and prioritize daily assembly line activities.
  • Be proficient in all departmental processes; act as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.
  • Implement and promote BPS (Business Process Standards) principles for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, product drawings, and special handling sheets (SHS).
  • Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform functional tests.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, identify defects, and manage non-conforming materials appropriately.
  • Rework units as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Support a safe and organized work environment through adherence to best practices in material handling
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or HVAC environment.
  • Previous team lead or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of assembly tools, processes, and work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings, standard work, and job travelers.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of 10–15 employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality, engineering, and support teams.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of problem-solving in real-time.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be flexible and able to work overtime or other shifts as needed
