We are seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial, client-facing professional to initiate and build relationships with institutional investors for Swiss Re's Insurance-linked Securities strategies.
About the role
This role reports to the Head of the Alternative Capital Partners (ACP) Business Development team, and is based in our New York City office with the following key deliverables:
- Establish new partnerships with institutional investors and their investment consultants across the Americas
- Identify and approach new prospects for our range of products
- Manage existing relationships and develop them further
- Follow new developments in the alternative capital market space
- Create publications and marketing presentations across ACP products
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all partners
About ACP Business Development
Alternative Capital Partners Business Development is the team focused on building and fostering direct partnerships between pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, insurers, asset managers and other institutional investors and Swiss Re. We seek to partner with investors looking to benefit from Swiss Re's portfolio management success, underwriting expertise, experience, and access to the (re)insurance market.
About You
You bring an entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion! An engaging presence in addition to your outstanding written and verbal communication skills enables you to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships. You operate successfully in a rapidly developing business environment with strong ability to adapt to new circumstances with ease and speed.
Additional key requirements include:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Mathematics, Natural Science, Finance, Economics, or similar analytical discipline
- Several years of work experience in capital raising in the US with a successful track record in establishing new partnerships
- Experience in Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) is an advantage but not a requirement
- Completion of FINRA qualification exams or willingness to do so upon joining
- Fluent in English required; Spanish a plus
The estimated base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $270,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
