GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of video marketing, production, and distribution of new media in accordance with NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations. The goal and objective of DBU Athletics is to develop Champions for Christ, both on and off the playing surface. The four pillars of the DBU Department of Athletics include academic excellence, athletic success, community engagement, and spiritual development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
• Knowledge and experience with editing programs (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, etc) is
required.
• Experience in producing and editing motion graphics is preferred.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work alongside the Patriot Broadcasting Network, the DBU Sports Information
department, and the Director of Athletics to develop, film, produce, and distribue new
media across multiple platforms and outlets.
• Video projects include filming and editing game highlights for all 14 NCAA programs,
producing behind-the-scenes and documentary footage, and creating content for social
media.
• Develop intro videos, individual player videos, and game highlights to be showcased on
the video boards at multiple venues.
• Collaborate weekly with the DBU Athletics creative team to create and develop
innovative content.
• Perform job duties in accordance with DBU’s vision, mission, and values, and in a way
that contributes to the advancement of the Athletics Department.
WORK SCHEDULE:
A minimum of 30 hours per week or more is necessary to meet the requirements of the program. Travel is required throughout the year for games.
