Hybrid Product Analyst en Plymouth Rock

The Boston-based Home Product team is seeking a self-motivated and creative Product Analyst with a strong desire to leverage their analytical skills to help solve practical business problems.

Responsibilities 

• Be a key member of the team that is accountable for the P&L, responsible for driving the business to achieve budgeted growth and profitability
• Gain valuable business knowledge in a fast-paced insurance industry through hands-on training and onboarding
• Evaluate the company’s competitive position through research and analysis of competitive intelligence reports
• Assist with developing business and underwriting strategies
• Participate in cross-functional project team representing Product
• Effectively manage projects of high complexity using available tools and data systems to identify, test and solve strategic business issues within the company data/reports, troubleshoot when there are inconsistencies
• Provide support for state filings for rate and other new initiatives, including building and supporting the rate indications
• Collaborate with other departments to strategically address their needs as they relate to the product; Review documentation, interpret rules, and coordinate activities with other departments such as marketing, customer service, underwriting, finance, claims, actuarial and IT

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• 1 + year of prior Insurance or Casualty Experienced preferred 
• Strong problem-solving skills   
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of intellectual curiosity
• Knowledge of data analytics tools – Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
