Summary of Primary Functions:
This individual will help manage the overall marketing efforts and presence within the assigned geographic area for Dobbs Equipment, Dobbs Equipment subsidiaries, and their products and services offered. The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and internal teams for the brands we represent to support the ongoing development and execution of the company’s promotional strategies to achieve business plan goals. This position coordinates marketing activities and assignments focused on growing market share, driving awareness, strengthening and enhancing customer relationships and trust, understanding marketing trends, coordinating, and working trade association events and product expos, community, and public relations, and various special events and projects. It is critical that this role provides cross-functional direction, communication, and collaboration. The primary focus of this role will be the state of Georgia.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Administrative
- Oversee and manage the marketing expenses, budget, and annual advertising plan for the assigned region.
- Process claims for co-operative funded campaigns executed within assigned region.
- Maintain accurate data and records for marketing activities.
- Utilizes reputation management software (Yext) to update and maintain accurate 3rd party listing information (i.e. Google Business Profile, Bing, Apple Maps, etc.) for all the store locations.
- Statement and invoice reconciliation with marketing vendors.
- Maintains inventory and restocks the promotional closet (i.e. swag and give away items).
Marketing and Advertising
- Work closely with sales, product support and other teams to develop and execute marketing strategies, including awareness, lead nurturing and retention campaigns, account-based marketing, new product launches, plus digital and public relations initiatives.
- Help develop tactics for lead capturing and generation to support sales
- Work closely with Marketing Analyst (CRM) on targeted customer lists, lead nurturing, and lead generation.
- Develops organic email drop campaigns based around sales initiative and promotions.
- Work closely with advertising agencies and publishers to ensure timely execution, submission, and placement of paid advertisements.
- Assist in the creation and updating of both internal and external marketing materials and collateral like flyers, invitations, eNewsletters, and presentations.
- Own content creation and execution for organic social media, including copyright and visuals.
Sponsorship Event Planning Efforts
- Manage and execute trade association events, company hosted events, and other exhibits which at times require overnight stays.
- Leads execution of activities to support event participation including logistics of booth displays, securing add on services, venue rentals, room blocks, catering, etc.
- Securing and arrange customer and team members flights, hotels, and transportation.
- Facilitate sponsorship opportunities at industry events and related opportunities.
- Manages and maintains all standards, policies and procedures for event planning.
- Develops working relationships with local trade associations to capitalize on events, awareness, and advertising opportunities.
- Consult with internal customers to determine goals, objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, activities, and sponsorships.
- Works with team members to review scheduled events to understand lessons learned, successes or troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Individual must be proficient in cross functional leadership, customer focused, analytical and comfortable communicating with customers.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ in the A/E/C, manufacturing, or dealership industry.
- Minimum 3+ years’ marketing experience.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or related field is a plus.
- Must have competence in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and quickly adapt to new software systems. CRM experience desired.
- Experience with email campaign software (i.e. HubSpot, MailChimp, Constant Contact) necessary.
- Creative design skills (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Canva) a plus.
- Strong ability to understand priorities and urgency to balance and shift work tasks/assignments.
- Must have a great deal of flexibility to handle a changing work environment.
- Must be mature, team orientated and possess a positive attitude.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must proactively determine customer needs and exceed their expectations.
- Must adhere to ethical principles, have sound character and honesty.
Work Environment:
