About the Role:

Creative Dining Services at Brose New Boston is looking for a Cook - 2nd Shift. As the Cook - you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during evening hours. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our staff and clients. You will collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness and organization, ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. This position requires creativity and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for menu planning and presentation. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the dining experience and support the overall mission of our business services.

Standard Hours of Operation for 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday 1:00pm to 9:00pm - Hours may vary based on client need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification.
  • Experience in menu planning and food presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage inventory effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff and provide guidance on cooking techniques and safety practices.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include culinary expertise and knowledge of food safety, which are essential for preparing meals that are both delicious and safe for consumption. Attention to detail is crucial, as it ensures that each dish meets quality standards and dietary requirements.
