Hybrid School Social Worker en Rochester Academy Charter School

Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.  Several qualifications will be considered: including LCSW, LMSW, MSW, and bachlors of Social Work.  New York State certification in School Social Work preferred but similar qualifications and out of State certification will be considered.  Experience is preferred but not required.

Job responsibilities categories include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and supervising 1:1 and small group counseling for students with IEPs and 504s
• Leading and supervising 1:1 and small group counseling to support student behavior change
• Offering drop in counseling services to all students
• Reviewing the student information system to track data
• Collect and review data on student needs
• Connecting students and families with resources in our community
• Leadership role in intervening with chronic absenteeism and persistent behavioral challenges
• Hosting and planning for staff professional learning around topics specific to Social Emotional Learning 
• Can work independently without direct daily supervision
