Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer for our Greenville, South Carolina office. The Lead Engineer will join a team of process engineers designing and modifying facilities which produce chemicals, biochemicals, biofuels and related industrial products.

Responsibilities
- Will understand the project delivery process and help define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals
- Act as process lead on project teams and manage the process engineers and ensure the completion of the process deliverables
- Lead the development of PFD’s, P&ID’s, Mass and Energy Balances, Equipment Lists and Specifications, generate instrument process data, etc.
- Interact with clients in technical meetings, site visits and business development meetings
- Provide guidance and relevant technical information to mechanical, electrical, structural, estimating and process control disciplines
- Provide engineering expertise to optimize process systems and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate system malfunctions
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience (Professional registration is a plus)
- Experience with Capital Projects in the Chemical Process Industries a plus
- A willingness to travel as needed
