Technology & Experience, Product & Experience Discipline
West Monroe is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Product Design Lead to join our Technology & Experience team, specifically within our Product and Experience discipline. This role will be pivotal in leading and shaping product strategies & designs for our clients, leveraging a deep understanding of human-centered design methodologies and advanced technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
Product Strategy and Vision
- Collaborate with client and WM stakeholders to define, develop, and articulate product strategies that align with clients’ business and experience goals.
- Work closely with client teams to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Translate business needs into compelling product visions and roadmaps.
- Lead cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and product managers to ensure seamless execution of product design processes.
- Champion design thinking methodologies, driving innovation and user-centric designs for client projects.
User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) Design
- Lead user research, gather insights, and analyze user behavior to inform design decisions.
- Design intuitive, engaging, and effective user interfaces and experiences that solve problems and meet client needs.
- Lead Design System creation, scaling, and adoption for client projects.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes to validate concepts and refine designs.
- Facilitate user testing sessions, iterate on feedback, and ensure product usability and functionality.
Collaboration and Communication
- Present design concepts and strategies to clients, gaining buy-in and ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Strong focus on client satisfaction, project management, and thought leadership.
- Foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and accountable for delivery excellence.
Business Development
- Partner with WM leaders to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the product, experience, and UX domains.
- Lead proposal and SOW development and business development initiatives to expand West Monroe's design footprint at accounts.
- Showcase the business impact of design through metrics, case studies, and past project outcomes.
- Support larger pursuits as a subject matter specialist.
Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor project teams of designers & consultants, fostering professional growth and development.
- Acting as a career advisor to junior and sr. product designers to advance their career development.
- Promote a fun, creative, collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, and related roles.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring design teams.
- Proven track record of leading design and design system projects from conception through execution and delivery.
- Expert-level proficiency in design and prototyping tools; Figma and Maze.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Portfolio of prior consulting or agency work that demonstrates broad digital design output and measured impact / results.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with creating and managing DesignOps in collaboration with business, product, and engineering stakeholders.
- Intermediate understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, and native mobile for seamless design-development collaboration a plus.
- Experience with designing on platforms like AEM, Drupal, M365 and SharePoint, Salesforce, and ServiceNow a plus.
- Experience with designing and launching agentic AI and conversational interfaces a plus.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
