As an Engineering Operations Lead, you will play a vital role in the operations of our Engineering Competence Center in Bangalore.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units— to manage contracts and billing, oversee ERP operations, facilitate data-driven decision making, and promote continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks 1.Contract, Purchase Order, and Billing Management
Collaborate with Unit managers and internal teams to finalize contracts and ensure timely availability of Purchase Orders.
2. Validate monthly actuals in conjunction with the Unit and Unit manager.
Work closely with Finance and Procurement teams to process invoices, manage cost center allocations, and ensure accurate expense reporting.
3. SAP ByDesign (SAP ByD) ERP Management
Create, manage, and monitor projects, sales orders, and purchase requests within SAP ByD.
Oversee resource allocation, utilization, and enforce timesheet compliance across multiple teams.
Generate, analyze, and present operational and Financial reports to management.
4. Workload and Workforce Analysis
Collect and analyse workload and workforce data across multiple teams in partnership with Unit managers.
Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for executive and operational reporting (KPI tracking, project health, budget status, etc.).
Utilize advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables) to manage datasets, analyze trends, and automate reporting.
Deliver ad hoc data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions and project reviews.
5.Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory policies, and audit requirements by supporting required documentation and processes.
Governance & Operational Support
Assist in implementing engineering operations frameworks, methodologies, and best practices across various teams.
Support governance activities, process documentation, and performance monitoring.
Skills Required
Experience of 3yrs-6yrs
Strong experience in Excel
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally
Experience with SAP ByDesign or similar ERP platforms (Project and purchase modules)
Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development and advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, automation)
Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights
High attention to detail, especially in financial, compliance, and process-related activities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment
Good to have
Ability to understand Contract documents.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Relevant operational or project management experience in an engineering, IT, or technology-driven environment
Prior experience in ERP administration and financial operations highly desirable
High level of autonomy and efficiency.
Good organizational abilities and good interpersonal skills
