Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of HC Business Partnerships to establish and lead a new HCBP function within our firm. This pivotal role will be responsible for building a robust HC Business Partner team from the ground up, developing junior HCBPs, and strategically partnering with our business leaders to drive both practice and people performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership:
- Design, implement, and lead the firm's new HC Business Partner strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters, including organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and change management.
- Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support the firm's growth and foster a positive work environment.
- Team Building & Development:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard a team of junior HR Business Partners.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the HCBP team, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Establish clear performance metrics and development plans for the HCBP team.
- Business Partnership:
- Work hand-in-hand with the Practice Development Team to integrate people strategies with practice performance goals, driving synergistic outcomes.
- Proactively identify HC needs and develop solutions that address business challenges and support strategic priorities.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders across all practice areas, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Lead the implementation of talent management initiatives, including performance management cycles, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Facilitate effective communication and change management strategies for organizational initiatives.
- Partner closely with key HC functions such as talent acquisition, rewards, talent management, and benefits to co-design solutions for our firms business units.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making for the firm business units.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HC experience, with at least 5 years in an HC Business Partner leadership role, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Proven experience building and scaling an HCBP function from inception.
- Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing HC teams.
- Strong understanding of talent management, organizational development, compensation, benefits, and employee relations best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
Compensation Range:
$200,000 - $260,000
