Qualifications

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for DoD Maintenance Activities. Who May Apply: US Citizens Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated System Mechanic without more than normal supervision. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: conduct inspections of electrical equipment, use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot to determine cause of malfunction, and complete repairs of electrical equipment using hand and power tools. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical effort: Must be able to stand for long periods of time; or endure recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside shops, aircraft, or outside in good weather conditions. Exposed to potentially high voltage, aircraft rotors, RF and IR radiation and high intensity noises. Fumes, solvents, dirt, dust, grease, and oil are normally present. Danger of the possibility of cuts, burns, shocks, strains, falls, and eye or skin irritations is possible.
