Facilities Maintenance | First Shift - Saturdays | Madisonville , OH

Local school looking for a handyman to work across two campuses in Madisonville and Woodburn. On top of performing general maintenance, setting up for events and light cleaning tasks, you will also be assisting in the parking lot with with student drop off/pickup, directing traffic, and general trades such as painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical. This position may require Saturday work, as well as that can be exchanged for one day during the week. Please read schedule below carefully. Daily lunch and uniform are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and mechanical duties for both campuses and related facilities, furnishings, and equipment. This could include painting, plumbing, woodworking, electrical, etc.
• Assist school staff with various daily projects and requests
• Performs duties under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
• Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in maintenance and repair of buildings and their systems.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors, peers, and school staff members.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with school staff.
• Ensure all work is documented according to department policies and procedures and track man-hours and material costs.
• Ensure all preventive maintenance procedures are accomplished within their realm of responsibility.

Requirements:

• This job is located at a school, a clean background in the last 10 years is required.
• Basic hand tools knowledge, proven carpentry, electric, plumbing or general handyman skills is a must
• Ability to setup and tear down school events - including lifting up to 75lbs
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Works well with others, excellent customer service. You will be communicating with school staff and student parents regularly. 
• Reliable transportation and good attendance track record
• Able to provide a clean 5 panel drug test

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm, when they need Saturday work you can swap a shift during the week. 

Pay:

$23-25/hr based on experience
