JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the daily business operations of the Custom Club Shop. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
- Schedule and supervise Custom Club team members.
- Understand and supervise all Custom Club shop business transactions including retail sales, inventory accuracy, used club trade-in allowances and any other cash or credit transactions.
- Supervise the purchasing of golf-shop operating supplies (other than retail merchandise).
- Work closely with Custom Club Operations Manager to place customer orders for clubs and/or accessories from specified vendors/suppliers.
- Maintain thorough records of inventory purchases and returns, including a system of reconciling purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for used golf clubs and demo club inventory.
- Promote and assist in all Demo Day activities.
- Use available resources to calculate allowance for used clubs based on the club condition.
- Participate in the preparation and conducting of the physical inventory as required or requested.
- Understand completely the daily closing procedures and supervise the completion of accounting sheets and reports.
- Correct financial irregularities.
- Train team members to use office equipment (cash register, credit card scanner, adding machine, copier, fax machine, laminating machine, and multiple line digital phones).
- Directly supervises Customer Club Shop team members.
- Assist Customer Club Shop Manager with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; and employee relations.

- May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma and five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with the POS system a plus.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
Knowledge
- Knowledge of golf club technology, management practices, and office procedures.
- Must have working knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, management practices and office procedures.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Abilities
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)
Position regularly requires the use of golf cart, office and sales equipment, including but not limited to, telephones, computers and productivity software.
