Hours:                    40 hours per week

Compensation:     Starting pay $25/hr

Work Location:     Ellensburg

                              Requires weekly travel to Moses Lake and Wenatchee (vehicle provided)

The Shelter Facilities Coordinator ensures shelter facilities are well maintained and that shelter residents adhere to agreed upon rules and regulations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate client move-ins into shelter facilities, following documented unit move in process, in-person 
  • Facilitate unit turns between clients including but not limited to resetting door codes, submitting maintenance requests, restocking unit inventory and ensuring unit has been thoroughly cleaned
  • Conduct weekly unit checks on all units for rule adherence regarding cleanliness, hoarding, too settled, banned substances 
  • Issues violations as needed and in a timely manner based on unit check findings and Care Navigator consultations
  • Communicate violations to Care Navigation team to provide coaching in these areas
  • Conduct unit exits upon client completion or termination from the program
  • Maintain inventory/supplies management
  • Conduct meth testing on units at turns and as needed based on unit checks
  • Manage facilities support budget line 
  • Enter PO's related to client services such as cleaning and supplies
  • Submit maintenance requests as needed to maintain facility
  • Update shelter availability spreadsheet by 3 pm daily 
  • Maintain self-managed property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies on a timely basis, obtaining referrals from current tenants, showing units, screening applicants, reviewing income qualifications, certifying households to confirm WA state guidelines met
  • Conduct site visits and meetings with satellite property sites on a weekly basis
  • Assist in the negotiation of lease contracts, enforce rental agreements, post notices, resolve tenant issues, disputes and eviction processes
  • Manage expenses to budget, initiate corrective measures and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Update Property Management software with vacancies, availability and maintenance on a weekly basis
  • Communicate vacancies with Housing Department
  • Ensure occupant safety with up-to-date exit emergency maps and communication including adequate disability access, checking electronic security systems, and reviewing security camera footage
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Other duties as assigned.
