Position Summary:

The Billing and Collections Specialist will be responsible for assisting with billing and collection activities for the Agency’s customer base. This includes understanding the funder’s contract and associated billing requirements by working with program staff and internal finance teams to generate invoices, assisting with and developing budget modifications when necessary, and initiating steps to collect outstanding balances.

Compensation Range: Hourly $26-$27

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure procedures and controls are in place to produce invoices for all services provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of the customer contract.

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.

  • Contact customers to ask about their overdue payments.

  • Research and resolve contract billing and payment application questions.

  • Assist with monitoring and analyzing the status of the contracts to ensure full budget utilization.

  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.

  • Partner with the Billing and Finance team to provide data and analytical support as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of billing and collection experience.

  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
