Hybrid Finishing Operator--OFF-SHIFT en Kalsec

Essential Job Functions:

1. Use material handling equipment to blend products together per recipes and specifications.
2. Package products into various containers to specific weight.
3. Assist in keeping the Finishing Department organized, clean and sanitary.
4. Perform inventory assignments, via inventory locator both perpetual and formal inventories.
5. Initiate and perform the assistance required to individual operators and the department to improve operational efficiency.
6. Participate in the training of new operators.
7. Know and recognize all materials handled.
8. Perform non-routine tasks as assigned.
9. Complete all documentation in paper and electronic form required for completing jobs.
10. Transport materials and fill out necessary paperwork, and data entries reflecting the changes.
11. Know and operate properly and safely all equipment in the finishing department.
12. Interact directly with appropriate lab personnel in the development and requirement of procedures on new and existing products.
13. Be familiar with all plant policies and comply with Company rules and regulations.
14. Be physically capable of handling all the requirements of this classification.

Education/Experience:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Capable of learning to operate all equipment used in the Finishing Department.
• Able to communicate clearly in legible handwriting and comprehend written instructions.
• Computer skills, data entry
• Basic math (arithmetic)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work independently and follow standard procedures with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to work in a very detail-oriented team environment
• Demonstrated compliance with material handling safety procedures
• Flexibility to manage frequently changing priorities and assignments

Equipment Operation:

• General office equipment
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Forklift – must maintain qualified lift truck operator status
• Material handling equipment
• Platform and portable scales
• Various filtration equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift fifty pounds (50 lbs) on a frequent basis
• Climbing ladders and stairs
• Frequent walking, bending, stopping, reaching and twisting
• Working in both hot and cold conditions throughout an eight (8) hour shift
• Ability to wear PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator)
