Job Title: Manager of Business Development
 Location: Atlanta, Georgia
 Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
 Department: Sales & Strategic Growth
 FLSA Status: Exempt
 Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Some evenings/weekends as needed)

Position Summary

As the Manager of Business Development, you are the tip of the spear in driving profitable growth within your assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR). You will be responsible for creating new opportunities, conducting security assessments, and crafting value-driven proposals that align with the unique needs of each client. This is a results-driven role for a competitive, self-starting professional with a passion for security and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and contact potential clients through cold outreach, networking, and lead generation.
  • Conduct comprehensive security site assessments to understand clients’ current security posture, risks, vulnerabilities, and desired outcomes.
  • Develop proposals that align with Platinum Group Security’s Hybrid Security offerings (guarding, technology, consulting).
  • Prioritize competitive takeaways over RFP responses; when applicable, evaluate and respond to incoming RFPs strategically.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and position Platinum Group Security as a trusted advisor.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM platform to document interactions, pipeline activity, and outcomes for visibility and performance tracking.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and authority in all interactions, presentations, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with operations, recruiting, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and internal execution.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of B2B business development or sales experience (preferably in security, facilities management, or related industry).
  • Strong understanding of the security services industry or a proven ability to learn complex service-based offerings quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to create opportunities, not just respond to them.
  • High proficiency in prospecting, client relationship building, and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Tech-savvy, especially in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and able to manage a flexible, field-based schedule.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred but not required.
