Your opportunity

As a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, you’ll be reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery Manager. Your role will be to work through a backlog of technology projects and focus on the design & automation of infrastructure and cloud technologies. Working side by side with people who go the extra mile, you’ll also love the feeling of helping those who need us. Here’s how you’ll do it:

  • Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects from the technology innovation backlog
  • Design and implement scalable, secure and resilient on-premise and Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to increase system performance, availability, and
  • scalability
  • Lead data centre modernisation and infrastructure refresh initiatives
  • Lead infrastructure automation
  • Improve operational efficiency to an enterprise level for servers, storage systems, Azure, the M365 platform, identity systems, and infrastructure and cloud associated tools
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation of infrastructure designs, procedures, and configurations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • A self-starter who can be lead projects and complex tasks and function as an agent for change
  • Demonstrated experience of automating complex repetitive functions
  • Demonstrated experience working in high security conscious environments and a excellent understanding of security best practice
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maximising out of the box functionalities of Microsoft 365
  • Demonstrated experience with automation and orchestration for “as a service” services
  • Hands-on experience with the design and build of cloud services
  • Excellent working knowledge of IT systems environments—operating systems, networking, applications, and platforms
  • Deep knowledge of the ITIL Framework
  • Excellent understanding of how Microsoft technologies can be incorporated to provide solutions to business needs
  • Experienced at resolving conflict using appropriate strategies, ensuring suitable outcomes for the parties involved
  • Working use of CI/CD and Azure DevOps
  • Ability to understand the audience and context, anticipate responses and effectively tailor communication and communication styles
  • Experience in making balanced decisions using professional judgement, risk evaluation and in the context of ambiguity and a changing environment
  • Drive change and manage uncertainty and guide staff through the process
