Job Summary
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of human development and psychology to provide a variety of diagnostic, clinical and intervention services which facilitate learning and development of students; conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; select and utilize assessment instruments appropriate to student’s handicapping condition, background, age, and history while demonstrating sensitivity to socio-economic and developmental factors; plan, organize, coordinate, and implement the observation, assessment, and treatment of psychological, behavioral, and related educational issues among identified students; write legally defensible reports and make recommendations to IEP Teams regarding students; provide consultation supports to school staff, parents, and students; provide crisis intervention and educationally related mental health services to students enrolled in day treatment program.

Requirements / Qualifications
Required:
• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services or Designated Services Credential with Psychologist Authorization.
• M.A. with emphasis on the assessment and evaluation of special education students.
• Three years of successful experience as a School Psychologist, including work with students with moderate/severe educational needs desirable.
• Experience providing educationally related mental health services preferred.
Salary Info
Comprehensive benefit package which includes participation a health plan in addition to paid dental, vision, and life insurance, paid sick leave, vacation. Membership in Social Security and the Public Employees Retirement System (STRS) is required.

Condition of Employment:
Employees are required to submit to a Department of Justice background check and provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis and vaccination of Measles.
