GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Reservations Department is looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our sales team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Effectively sell vacation packages and upsell amenities to guests
•Assist guests with any pre-arrival questions and provide general information about the resort
•Assist in booking meal reservations and special function reservations
•Answer all incoming calls to the call center in an efficient manner
•Respond to guest email inquiries and provide any follow-up information as needed
•Responsible for ensuring all guest information is correct in the database and all reservations are accurate
•Coordinate with other department to ensure guest satisfaction
•Manage guest preferences, waiting lists, and maximize accommodation inventory on assigned dates
•Provide exceptional customer service and represent Woodloch’s signature hospitality
•Assist guests in person with questions or bookings
•Excellent verbal and communication skills
•Basic math skills (manually calculate rates, discounts, and/or commissions if needed)
•Exceptional guest and staff relation skills
•Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
•Basic knowledge of social media and email campaigns
•Professional in demeanor and appearance
•Flexible scheduling – some nights, weekends, and holidays a must
•Cross-training with other departments as needed
•Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
•Strong attention to detail
•Problem-solving ability
•Adhere to directions set forth by supervisors, management, and owners

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
