Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager

FLSA: Non-Exempt


JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Clerk provides support to the Accounts Payable Manager in the day-to-day processing of
invoices, communication with vendors, issuing check payments, and other regular accounts payable functions.


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Core Duties / Responsibilities:
• Receive and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Review rejected vendor invoices, make changes, and resubmit
• Follow up with JHL employees on past due invoice approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to vendor inquiries and help resolve billing issues
• Support the Accounts Payable Manager with other regular AP duties such as cutting checks, 1099
preparation, positive pay, filing documents, etc.


Education / Experience:
• At least 2 years of prior accounts payable experience
• A general understanding of corporate processes and procedures, organizational skills, and personnel
skills are requirements of the position.
• An intermediate level of computer skills, usually involving use of an accounting software package and
spreadsheets to enter, compile, or extract data.
• Experience with CMiC construction software is a plus.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• The Accounts Payable Clerk should be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, work well
under strict time schedules, and behave in a professional manner.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are required.
• Maintaining discretion and confidentiality about accounting and other matters at all times is
mandatory.

Must have the ability to remain in a seated position. 90%
Must have the ability to speak, write and comprehend English language. 100%
Must have the ability to lift office products and supplies, up to 20 lbs. 20%

Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, bend and reach. 10%
Must have dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse. 100%
