About the Role

As a Supply Chain Executive, you will support the execution of Kohl's logistics projects and supply chain scorecards to improve service, cost, quality and speed. This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

What You’ll Do

• Communicate supply chain issues and opportunities to business partners

• Conduct project analysis and reporting 

• Support successful project and process execution 

• Resolve remittance and operational issues

• Additional tasks may be assigned 

ADDENDUMS

Parcel

• Own supplier relationships and serve as the person of contact for Kohl’s logistics

• Analyze data and make recommendations to drive packaging improvements and cost efficiencies

• Partner with suppliers to manage packaging inventory and expense across the network

• Partner with the procurement team on packaging RFP

• Serve as a liaison between parcel carriers and Kohl’s fulfillment teams

• Maintain and communicate parcel shipping SOPs

• Serve as an escalation point to resolve operational issues

• Leverage internal reporting to assess and communicate feedback related to carrier performance

• Identify data integration and database solutions to reporting improvements

Transportation

• Oversee the day-to-day communication and interactions concerning global freight movement

• Manage annual ocean, air and origin bids 

• Partner with Procurement and Accounts Payable on invoicing

• ​​Analyze, report and scorecard

• Develop and voice your own ideas on how to improve processes and reduce costs

Merchant and Vendor Services

• Act as the liaison between merchants and third-party vendors in the supply chain

• Support new project implementations

• Identify and support strategies to remove friction within the supply chain

• Support the education of supply chain best practices throughout the organization and with vendors 

• Identify strategies and deliver innovation with respect to operational implementation of opportunities that reduce costs or increase revenue

• Support recurring budgeting, forecasting, reporting and other operational activities

Analytics 

• Identify insights in data to make supply chain operations more efficient

• Partner with distribution center and transportation leaders to identify and design reporting for operations

• Partner with Kohl’s Technology (KT) team to identify and connect to data sources needed for reporting and analysis

• Communicate facts and narratives concisely and precisely

• Build intuitive and insightful data visualizations

• Capably analyze data with SQL and R/Python

• Build reports in Qlik

Operations Planning

• Coordinate with partners across the organization to make short term tactical and strategic inventory placement decisions

• Leverage systems and software to acquire data and conduct complex analysis of business issues and opportunities

• Identify strategies and coordinate the operational implementation of opportunities that reduce costs or increase revenue

• Support recurring budgeting, forecasting, reporting and other operational activities that support Omni-channel fulfillment operations

• Oversee receipt planning, demand forecasting, and production planning for the broader supply chain network

Slotting

• Drive strategic inventory placement decisions within eCommerce Fulfillment Centers (EFCs) through collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization

• Leverage data analysis to generate actionable insights that support space optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing delivery speed, boosting operational efficiency, and reducing costs

• Partner closely with EFC operations teams to develop intuitive dashboards and reporting tools that inform and optimize inventory storage strategies

Reverse Logistics

• Manage third-party vendor and return relationships

• Support new project implementations in reverse and operations spaces

• Identify strategies and deliver innovation with respect to operational implementation of opportunities that reduce costs or increase revenue

• Support recurring budgeting, forecasting, reporting and other operational activities

Direct Ship

• Manage Direct Ship vendor performance through Vendor Compliance, Vendor Onboarding, Peak Readiness and Operational Improvements/Efficiencies

• Develop strategies within vendor base to increase speed and accuracy to customer while driving down costs

• Partner with merchants to improve net margin

• Serve as the escalated contact for compliance chargeback disputes, order and inventory exceptions

• Research and action vendor/Kohl's cross-functional issues

• Identify strategies and deliver innovation with respect to operational implementation of opportunities that reduce costs or increase sales

• Bachelor's Degree

• Demonstrated initiative and drive

• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with spreadsheets

• Clear and professional communicator

• Overnight travel

• Flexible schedule to support peak business operations

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering

• Previous experience in supply chain management
