The Billing Analyst plays a key role in managing and optimizing the Legal eBilling platform, ensuring accurate and compliant legal invoice processing. This position supports both internal stakeholders and external vendors by troubleshooting billing issues, providing user training, and overseeing the end-to-end vendor onboarding process. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Procurement, Finance, IT, and Legal—to streamline processes, resolve invoice disputes, and ensure timely payments. Responsibilities also include data analysis for audits, financial reporting through SAP S/4 HANA, and contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and policy development to drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize the Legal eBilling platform, ensuring smooth vendor access, invoice submissions, and end-user support for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end vendor onboarding process, including compliance reviews, system setup, and training.
  • Support legal matter creation, assignment, and lifecycle management in alignment with organization needs.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure timely processing of payments and leverage SAP S/4 HANA for invoice tracking and financial reporting.
  • Review and validate legal invoices for compliance with billing guidelines and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with Procurement, Finance, IT, and legal stakeholders to ensure seamless process alignment.
  • Conduct complex research and data analysis for audits, operational improvements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of process documentation and compliance initiatives and the implementation of operational policies, metrics, and service levels.
  • Identify and support implementation of automation opportunities and system enhancements, including Artificial Intelligence use cases for invoice and matter analytics.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university degree.
  • Typically, 2-4 years of related experience in finance or accounting.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technical skills

  • Proficient in SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

Soft skills

  • Effective communication
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management skills – planning, execution, and implementation.
  • Agile learner with a customer-first mindset
