Hybrid QA Analyst II en Onyx CenterSource

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst-Level 2 to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with manual testing and is skilled in designing and executing automated test scripts. They will focus on testing ensuring the overall design, development, and implementation of product solutions. They are responsible for testing existing system processes. They are responsible for ensuring product quality is of the highest standard throughout the development process. They will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Minimum required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Reports to: Director of Quality Assurance

Oversight:  This position has no direct reports

Roles/ Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases using tools like Selenium or Cypress
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create test plans, and identify test coverage gaps
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing; log and manage defects using tools like JIRA
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups) and support UAT, QA sign-offs, and production releases
• Continuously improve QA processes across SDLC/STLC and contribute to risk assessment and issue resolution
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Minimum required:

• 7+ years of QA experience in related industry
• Experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver or Cypress
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Gitlab, BitBucket), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries and databases and ETL process

Preferred:

• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Experience in hospitality or payments related industry is a plus

Physical Demands/  Travel required

Work associated with this position is sedentary in nature and performed indoors at a desk either remotely or in an office setting.

Travel for this position is less than 10%.
