ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Review for accuracy and input load orders into paperless system and make changes as required in a timely manner.

· Assist in developing, analyzing and review of a variety of operational reports to determine efficiency, quality, safety and other areas and implements operational changes as assigned or required.

· Ensure that the four main customer requirements are met; cargo protected, timely loading, stowed properly and accurate paperwork

· Ensure employee requirements are met; works safely, job knowledge through training, dependable, proper communication, accomplishments acknowledged

· Assist in developing operating policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources and to maintain a safe work environment.

· Ensures schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met.

· Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

· Implements and monitors projects that impact specific functions to ensure objectives and timelines are met and works with management or other personnel as required to complete tasks

· Assists with reviewing and coordinating general operations with all other functional areas including maintenance

· Ensures certifications, procedures and licenses for GMP+, HACCP, SPCC, Weighmasters, and scales are reviewed and updated timely as needed.

· Coordinate with surveyors, agents and customers as needed

· Performs other duties as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of five years of facility operation supervision experience

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management is preferred

 

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

· Performing applicable electrical maintenance activities safely and efficiently;

· Lead other electricians in completing electrical projects as assigned.

· Able to lead team in installation of new electrical components including conduit, wire and equipment.

· Able to order parts as needed for installation and repair jobs.

· Reviewing and updating applicable electrical schematics and computer programs as assigned;

· Assist in developing preventative electrical maintenance programs when assigned;

· Applying basic operational principles and practices;

· Assist in developing electrical maintenance operating policies and procedures as assigned;

· Assist in developing and analyzing applicable electrical maintenance reports as assigned;

· Working with other functions and supervisors;

· Investigating and resolving electrical maintenance problems;

· Ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations;

· PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications

· Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Industrial environment. Will be subject to electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, and loud noises

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical nature of the work may vary from day-to-day based on operational needs.

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Very Moderate Work: Exerting more than 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/ or in excess of 25 lbs. frequently, and/ or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Able to lift overhead 20-25 lbs. Able to sit and or stand for long periods at a time as well as climbing up and down stairs.
