Drew University is seeking a Part-Time Costume Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of the costume shop. This position has an annual work schedule of 9 months at 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Organization and maintenance of the costume shop, its equipment, supplies and costume stock
Train and supervise students in the safe and proper use of tools and equipment
Teach students appropriate construction techniques
Work with student designers to help them realize their design ideas
Supervise students in immersive experiences as part of Drew University’s launch program
Other duties as assigned
Education:
Vocational training in costume design and construction
Preferred Education and Experience:
BA or MFA preferred.
Experience running a costume shop is desirable
