Position Summary:

Feeding Northeast Florida is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support our mission of ending hunger in our community. This internship is based in our in-house print shop, where you’ll help oversee and produce a wide range of visual materials including large-format prints, 3D-printed items, and laser-engraved signage and displays. Working closely with our Communications team, you’ll also assist in designing content for social media, events, and outreach campaigns. This hands-on role offers valuable experience with both digital and physical production tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, large-format printers, and fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong design sense, attention to detail, and a passion for using creative skills to support a meaningful cause. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Graphic Design intern will assist the Graphic Designer, other FNEFL team members, and our third-party marketing company to create strategic communications and campaigns for the food bank which include, but are not limited to: flyers, posters, logo design, social media content, impact reports, banners, vinyl wraps, outdoor signs, wall murals, framed pictures, safety messages and signage, event invitations and collateral, promotional products, and much more.

  • Collaborates with team members to foster creativity and excellence in projects and ideas to support and promote the brand. The Marketing & Communications Department are ambassadors of the FNEFL brand and are expected to inspire and guide others to uphold the brand standards.
  • Assists Content Creator in documenting all facets of the food bank via photography and video.
  • Assists with the print production process using a internal wide format, latex printer, two 3D printers, and a laser engraver.
  • Assists with special events, fundraising initiatives, volunteer events, and food distribution activities.
  • Keeps track of all assigned projects and maintains open communication with the Graphic Designer to make progress and give updates on all projects.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an educational program with a focus on Graphic Design, Print Production, or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization in the community
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
  • Interest and/or competency in photography

Work Environment:

This position is in an office/warehouse environment and requires a flexible schedule and travel to accommodate FNEFL events. Work is performed indoors and outdoors with regular exposure to all weather conditions. In instances of a federal, state, or local declared emergency, FNEFL is typically considered an essential service and emergency responder; all employees may be called in to perform regular or emergent duties.
