POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Shred Driver Supervisor is responsible for providing exceptional levels of customer service to our clients while taking care of all client document destruction needs. You are responsible for monitoring and distributing work to team members and ensuring deadlines are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
▪ Provide daily supervision for the Shred team members to include:
- Coach and train team members.
- Be the first escalation point of contact to handle issues and involve manager as needed.
- Monitor team coverage, oversee personal time off approval, make sure back-ups are in place, and redistribute work to cover when others are out.
- Monitor staffing and equipment needs.
- Conduct performance reviews and make compensation recommendations.
▪ Review daily route schedule, confirm scheduling calls have been completed, and change route plans as necessary.
▪ Lead daily morning meetings with drivers.
▪ Ensure timely start and stop times for drivers at the beginning and end of day.
▪ Respond to questions from Shred Delivery Drivers and clients.
▪ Deliver bins to client sites as needed.
▪ Maintain shred truck repair logs.
▪ Perform document destruction of confidential information using mobile based shredding equipment, including obtaining electronic client signatures on required documents and uploading.
▪ Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
▪ Perform mandated daily safety and maintenance checks on truck and shredder equipment.
▪ Adhere to shred team schedule, including working up to eight (8) weekends per year for special client shred events.
▪ Accurately maintain and comply with documentation and administrative procedures in a timely basis to include time entry process.
▪ Attend required company and departmental meetings.
▪ Maintain and file driver info for DOT and NAID onsite inspections.
▪ Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
▪ Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
▪ An associate degree and two years of delivery driver experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
▪ Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
▪ Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance, and acceptable driving record, all to be maintained.
▪ This position requires DOT certification. To become an authorized driver and receive DOT certification, you must comply with all applicable DOT regulations, including but not limited to successful completion of medical and drug evaluations.
▪ Meet and maintain NAID certification driver requirements.
