Responsibilities  
 
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on UX Manager to both lead and contribute to the user experience vision for all internal and external-facing applications at Ryan Transportation. This hybrid role combines people leadership with active individual contribution-owning design work, user research, and UX strategy. You’ll be instrumental in transforming our current suite of tools into a unified platform that delivers seamless, intuitive experiences for shippers, carriers, and internal teams. 
 
Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, you will ensure every experience is purposeful, data-informed, and optimized to drive user behavior and business results. 
 
  • Own the end-to-end UX across shipper, carrier, and internal tools to create a cohesive, best-in-class marketplace experience. 
  • Develop and execute user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that drive user engagement and reduce friction. 
  • Lead user research and validation efforts, including usability testing, behavioral analytics, and stakeholder interviews. 
  • Define and track key UX metrics (e.g., task success, adoption, NPS) to guide decisions and align design outcomes with business goals. 
  • Contribute to and evolve a scalable design system that ensures consistency across products. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle. 
  • Mentor and lead UX/UI designers as needed, promoting strong design standards, user empathy, and continuous improvement. 
Qualifications 
  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX work and impact in digital products—ideally in marketplace or B2B settings. 
  • Experience designing for complex workflows and multi-user platforms. 
  • Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC. 
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, responsive design, accessibility, and information architecture. 
  • Comfortable using research and analytics to guide decisions and improve experiences. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to balance strategic direction with tactical execution in a lean, fast-moving environment. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience in logistics, freight tech, transportation, or supply chain. 
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, React). 
  • Background in two-sided platforms or digital marketplaces.
