Summary:  Supervises and interacts with all children in the facility while providing the best quality daycare for children and excellent guest service to the parents.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.

  • Carry out daily chores including preparing daily lunches and snacks, changing diapers, and other assignments.

  • Responsible for as many as 7 toddlers(ages 1-4) or 3 infants(ages 6 months-11months).

  • Fill out the children's daily information on the daily needs form.

  • Interaction with guests and their children.

  • Ensures that all forms are completed correctly.

  • Ensure child safety at all times.

  • Encourages creativity and well-being.

  • Follow daily activities schedule.

  • Utilize good communication skills.

  • Must be knowledgeable in all Nursery policies, procedures and programs.

  • Must be positive with all parents and children.

  • Provides a guest experience that exceeds the guest’s expectations.

  • Supports TSG sustainability initiatives.

  • Adheres to TSG policies and procedures.

  • Has knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Must have baby-sitting or other childcare experience.

  • Infant and Child CPR and First Aid.

 

Language Skills:    

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:      

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability:           

Ability to apply common sense and understanding, to carry out written or oral instructions, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of child development and abilities from birth to five years.

  • High physical and mental energy level.

  • Quick reflexes and responses.

  • Patience.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Ability to focus on many children at one time.

  • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.

  • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.

  • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The starting pay rate for this position is $20.00/hr DOE
