The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is made up of 44 schools serving preschool-12th grade with approximately 33,000 students in grades TK-12. The District Office hosts twenty-three district level departments that serve the school sites. School sites feature many facility upgrades with vibrant libraries due to the community support of the Measure E bond. With 23 National Merit Scholars in 2021 and a total of 56 California Distinguished Schools/Gold Ribbon Awards, FUSD’s mission is to provide equitable opportunities to Educate, Challenge and Inspire students of all ages, talents and ability levels, while striving to prepare each with the skills required to adapt and succeed in an ever-changing world. Requirements / Qualifications
ALL TEACHERS must include resume and cover letter.
2 Letters of Recommendations (within 2 years of application date), at least one from administrator or supervisor.
Copies of ALL transcripts noting BA Degree (foreign transcripts have been evaluated for US equivalency by a CTC approved agency)
FULLY CREDENTIALED TEACHERS must include either:
• Scan or photo of their credential showing Multiple Subject - General Subjects (with added authorization in computer concepts and applications) and EL authorization (i.e. BCLAD, CLAD, ELA1, ELAE, ELAM, ELAS, etc.)
• OR Single Subject Teaching Credential - Business
• OR Single Subject Teaching Credential - Industrial and Technology Education
• OR Single Subject Teaching Credential - Mathematics
FULLY CREDENTIALED candidates and those who will be eligible for their PRELIMINARY CA CREDENTIAL by July 11, 2025 (verified by a valid credential, program completion letter)

The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is located in the City of Fremont, California, within Alameda County. Fremont is part of the Bay Area, located Southeast of San Francisco and nestled near Silicon Valley.
The following employment procedures will be followed:
1. Hiring staff review applications on file of those who possess the appropriate credential for the assignment.
2. Applicants for the specific assignments will be contacted for a scheduled interview.
3. Hiring staff will recommend candidates to Human Resources.
4. Human Resources staff will offer contracts after review of applicant's qualifications.
5. Applicants will report to Human Resources to complete employment papers, sign contract, and receive authorization documents to report to work.
Since referral and hiring are done by Human Resources, applicants should not contact the department directly to request employment.
