Description

Summary

The ERP Application Specialist will manage and optimize our ERP system across multiple business units. This role is responsible for administering the ERP platform, customizing workflows, forms, and fields to meet operational needs, and leading the design and delivery of critical business reports. Additionally, the specialist will act as the primary liaison between our internal teams and our Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution for escalated support and strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Administration & Optimization

  • Maintain and configure ERP modules to meet evolving business requirements (e.g., finance, inventory, manufacturing, sales).
  • Experience with Deacom ERP a plus.
  • Customize screens, fields, forms, and workflows based on user feedback and process improvements.
  • Manage user permissions, roles, and access in accordance with company policy and compliance needs.
  • Collaborate with department leads to improve usage, training, and adoption of ERP features.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Serve as an internal consultant to business units on how best to use ERP tools for process improvement.
  • Lead or participate in ERP-related projects, including plant expansions, new module rollouts, or software upgrades.

Lead Report Designer

  • Design, develop, and maintain business reports and dashboards using tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and built-in ERP reporting tools.
  • Translate business needs into data models and visualizations that support decision-making across operations, finance, and sales.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting schedules, and report distribution processes.

MSP General Tech Support Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal IT and our MSP for general IT related escalations, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Coordinate issue resolution, system updates, and project timelines with the MSP.
  • Track open tickets and project statuses, ensuring follow-through and closure on critical items.
  • Maintain inventory of company IT assets
  • Image new computers

  • Onboarding of new users

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3–5 years’ experience in ERP administration or ERP support roles (experience with Deacom ERP a plus).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing or distribution workflows is a plus.
  • Proficient in SQL and Power BI or similar BI/reporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate across internal and external teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience

  • Experience working with or managing an MSP or third-party IT vendor.
  • Background in business process improvement or system implementation.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, including accounting and CRM tools.
  • Experience with Deacom ERP
