- Directs the activities of recruitment to include screening applicants, initial interviews, reference checking and all other aspects and then forward results and recommendations to hiring manager.
- Performs job analysis’ and writes job descriptions as needed.
- Communicates company policy consistently and effectively to all employees.
- Performs all payroll functions.
- Investigates employee complaints, assists with counseling, and recommends action on employee relation issues.
- Administers all employee benefit plans and recommends revisions or changes. Conducts new employee orientation covering company policies, benefits, sexual harassment.
- Manages all workers compensation and unemployment issues.
- Keep abreast of all changes/updates in laws and legislation with regards to human resources.
- Responsible for all policies, procedures, and programs relating to Human Resources.
- Consistently maintains favorable and effective relations with and among employees.
- Oversees maintenance of accurate and complete personnel records. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
- Assist in the development and updating of training materials, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and scheduling meetings as needed.
- Maintain office supplies, office equipment, phone system, postage meter, mail and fax distribution.
- Assist with various projects and administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist in compliance with all regulatory rules and requirements as required and including documentation and record keeping
- Frequently work with other departments both internal and international.
- All company policies, procedures and safety rules must be followed and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Employees must maintain regular and satisfactory attendance
- Suggest improvements that will increase yields or reduce operating costs
- Build and maintain a result based working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, Accounting and Human Resources all other applicable positions
- Works with Quality Assurance personnel to assist in ISOS9000/140001 audits
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree or higher in human resources or related major preferred
- Professional training and development or Human Resources experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a progressively responsible business, manufacturing, or HR role required
- Requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse work force
- Ability to communicate across multiple departments and levels of business from executives and engineers to production leaders and operators
- A strong attention to detail and analytics that translate into the ability to not only present data, but also advice on process improvement based on the data
- Self-initiative person with a desire to learn, grow and evolve your role and its effectiveness
- Ability to work in a multitasking environment and to adjust to rapidly shifting priorities
- Strong computer knowledge especially with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Safety-first mindset where requirements will be strictly followed and promoted at all times
- Ability to manage physical lifting of multiple items up to 20lbs. occasionally
- Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 20 lbs occasionally
- Sitting and walking frequently
- Standing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching occasionally
- Production and inventory environments can be loud with multiple piece of machinery running at the same time
- Must be flexible with scheduling. Although this is generally a set, week day schedule, there will be business demands that fall outside of normal working hours that require an understanding of schedule adjustment to complete tasks as expected.
- Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required. Additionally, some roles will be requirement to wear full Class 10 Cleanroom outfit (inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves) at times for this role.
