Job Title: Outside Marketing & Prospecting Specialist 2 

Dept.: Mercedes Sales

Reports To: Sprinter Manager

SUMMARY

 

Functions as an entry level Outside Marketing & Prospecting Specialist.  Prospects and schedules appointments for the Sprinter Manager, targeting tradesman customers and large fleet companies to expand client base, increase brand awareness, and drive sales for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Trains in how to proactively identify and prospect existing/new clients, including tradesmen and large fleet companies, to expand the Sprinter department’s client base.
  • Schedules and conducts appointments to present customized Sprinter vans solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Acquires in-depth product knowledge through walk-around presentations.  
  • Trains to become proficient with Sprinter deliveries. 
  • Learns how to develop and execute advertising campaigns and promotions to enhance Sprinter brand awareness.
  • Collaborates with the Digital Marketing Director to maintain and update the Sprinter website (sanantoniovancenter.com).
  • Learns how to manage and grow all Sprinter-related social media pages in coordination with the Social Media Manager (@sanantoniovancenter).
  • Assists in the design of marketing materials such as pamphlets, posters, flyers, brochures, etc.
  • Creates and distributes monthly newsletters to current Sprinter customers and prospects.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and potential customers for the Sprinter Sales department.
  • Participates in trade shows, expos, and industry events to increase brand visibility.
  • Assists the Sprinter Manager as needed.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested. 
  • Maintains professional appearance.

This positions has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Some college with a focus on marketing or other business major preferred.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

 

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
