Job duties are general maintenance and custodial duties including but not limited to the following: Check all buildings inside and out for leaks and lighting. Replace any light bulbs, ceiling tiles, clean covers. Blow sidewalks around preschool, elementary, church buildings, driveways, basketball court. Check refrigerators and freezer for correct temperature every day to ensure food will be fresh for school. Pick up trash on campus. Set up and take down tables and chairs for school and church events such as: plays, concerts, JOY Group, operettas, science fair, art fair, special meetings. Check and clean roofs and gutters. Deliver UPS boxes and mail to school, preschool and church. Unplug toilets, fix broken and leaking faucets. Repair electricity and minor plumbing. Order cleaning supplies for maintaining facilities Un-alarm buildings and open restrooms in mornings and set alarms in afternoons after verifying doors are locked. Contact custodial staff for change in cleaning for special events. Complete work requests from school, preschool, church and staff. Perform monthly fire drill. Maintain Fire Drill Log book. Maintain all fire extinguishers to make sure they are up to date and working properly. Inspect and repair playground equipment. Hang church and school banners. Complete verbal and written requests from staff and school, ie: cleaning up vomit, spills on floors, clogged toilets, etc. Maintain parking lot lights. (change timers with daylight savings) Repair kneelers in church. Occasionally act as security guard, ie: transients sleeping on grounds, or kids on skateboards, etc. Touch up walls with paint if needed. Clean desks and chairs as needed. Spray weed killer on all areas of campus.
