ADMINISTRATIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: - To the Principal for the effective performance of clerical functions in the school.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: - Education: A high school diploma and courses in office procedures.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in clerical, office, or customer service position preferred, including typing ability.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- The ability to work courteously with many kinds of people and to promote positive public relations.
WORK YEAR: - To be determined by job requirements as stipulated in the annual employment contract.
JOB GOAL: - To assist the Building Administrator in the effective performance of clerical functions in the school.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide office support to school administrators and staff.
- Perform routine office work including using a variety of computer programs, posting, filing, recording, classifying, accounting and bookkeeping.
- Disseminates information to teachers, students, parents and others.
- Prepare, maintain and update student records.
- Assist as needed with scheduling, testing, reports and other related needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records/reports for state and local requirements
- Assist office staff during afternoon student dismissal.
- Provide office coverage after the student day is completed.
- Support staff as needed with the use of a variety of machines and systems.
- Administer first aid, dispense authorized medications and supervise the injured and sick in the absence of the nurse.
- Schedules meetings, conferences and appointments as needed.
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary, work year and working conditions to be established by the RSU 57 School Board.
