Key Responsibilities
- Ensure our rooms are working well and meet expectations.
- Be aware of room availability and keep hotel teams updated of the changes.
- Support the hotel team with technical challenges and troubleshooting.
- On call in case of emergencies - including weekends and out of hours where necessary.
- Coordinate 3rd party subcontractors in terms of preventive maintenance and be the 1st point of contact in case of any issues with the building installations.
- Proactive approach to overall hotel safety and keeping on top of the compliance requirements in the building.
- Minimize downtime of essential operating equipment, mitigating the impact on the guest at all times.
- Report to the senior engineer on the overall property status - inventory, compliance and ongoing works.
- Replenishes supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimizes waste.
Qualifications / skills
- A skilled, well rounded engineer with basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Be open to challenges.
- Capable of working independently where needed.
- Written and verbal communication skills in French with preference of communication in English. Any additional language skills are beneficial.
- Have basic IT knowledge of (google suite, MS office).
- Be eager to learn and develop.
- Ready to work in a team, alongside hotel staff and various citizenM departments.
- Passionate and proactive attitude.
- Customer focused with a priority for guest’ experience.
