YOUR IMPACT
We’re looking for a Project Scheduler to join our team and take full ownership of the high-level and detailed schedule plans for the Alpha project. This role is critical to ensuring that our ambitious milestones are planned, tracked, and delivered on time.
You will work closely with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and leadership teams to identify bottlenecks, manage risks, optimize the project schedule, and implement robust tracking mechanisms.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the foundation of one of the most ambitious engineering projects of our time.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule for the Alpha Stellarator Project, covering stellarator design, facility construction, and manufacturing setup.
-Work closely with engineering, physics, procurement, and operations teams to identify dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
-Facilitate regular planning and review sessions, ensuring the schedule reflects reality and supports decision-making at all levels.
-Monitor progress, flag deviations, and work proactively with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and optimize timelines.
-Build and communicate clear, actionable plans that align team efforts with company objectives and deliverables.
-Support scenario planning, schedule recovery strategies, and trade-off analyses to enable data-driven decisions.
-Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools at Proxima Fusion.
WHO YOU ARE
-Proven experience in project scheduling, planning, or program management in complex engineering or technology projects. ( Project Management qualifications, ie through PMI or GPM)
-Strong proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar), and the ability to translate technical details into clear timelines and milestones.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills — able to bring clarity and alignment in a fast-moving environment.
-A structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and propose solutions.
-Familiarity with manufacturing, construction, or hardware-heavy R&D environments is a plus.
-Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
-A degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related field.
