BASIC FUNCTION: Under the limited supervision of the Director of Special Education and the general direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) works with students who engage in serious and maladaptive behaviors, to increase their ability to participate and benefit from classroom instruction; provides support and training to certificated staff, Paraeducator(s) - Behavior Intervention and other instructional support staff on how to implement programs developed by a BCBA or School Psychologist.

7 hours per day / 35 hours per week Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
