Position Overview:
Masterbilt Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join our team. This role will be essential in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting decision-making processes across our locations in Indiana, Arizona, and California. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance.
  • Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process,      working with plant leadership to analyze financial data.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs)      to help drive financial efficiency.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial forecasts.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections efforts as needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.

Inventory & Cost Control:

  • Support inventory management and cost accounting,      ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct cost analysis for products and manufacturing processes to improve financial efficiency.
  • Assist in the review and reconciliation of cycle counts and inventory adjustments.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Assist in internal audits and external financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain proper internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for key business initiatives.
  • Assist in special projects, including process improvements and system enhancements.
Requirements

  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+      years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly preferred.
  • Advanced      Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with job costing, sales tax, and business insurance is a plus.
