Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist Temp will support the HR team with various administrative duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to, new hire onboarding, departing employee offboarding, implementation and execution of key HR processes and programs, support for employee benefits, and other administrative tasks as assigned. The role requires outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and strong attention to detail and organization.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist in employee lifecycle from new hire on-boarding to employee exits
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Assisting with the new hire onboarding process including scheduling orientation and overseeing the completion of new-hire paperwork
- Assisting with the offboarding process for departing employees and interns
- Assisting with employer sponsored benefits as needed
- Coordinating meeting and training sessions
- Producing and submitting reports on general HR activity
- Assisting with ad-hoc HR projects
- Supporting other assigned functions
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3+ years of human resources experience
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and compliance matters
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and appropriately
- Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of the HRIS system ADP
- Professional human resources membership affiliation (SHRM, PHR, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA which requires weekly attendance.
