An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership Business Team for a Safeguarding Practice Review Manager. The Team aids statutory safeguarding partnership work as laid down within Working Together 2023 with Partners to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children who live in Barnet. This 12 month secondment role has become available at a time of fast paced reform to not just children’s social care, but wider multi agency partnership work, as we seek to bring our partners in health, police and education with us as we seek to ensure all children and families in Barnet benefit from strengthened multi agency practice. The role will require you to develop and deliver innovative multi agency audits, learning reviews and training and webinar programmes which seek to disseminate best practice knowledge and raise awareness of stubborn challenges within the safeguarding system. The postholder will be across a number of local and national safeguarding reviews and required to deliver actions and recommendations alongside multi agency partners.
You will be a confident practitioner with a keen eye for collaborative and collegiate multi agency work . You will be able to display accurate empathy , working in a multi agency setting which is experiencing stretch and challenge. Yet, you won’t lose sight of the need to focus on improving and continually strengthening our local multi agency system for the benefit of children and families and securing positive outcomes for them. You will be able to work alongside senior officials, Members and representatives from our Partner agencies showing sensitivity and verve . You will hold a natural curiosity, with an analytical focus able to review large volumes of information and assessment data and provide succinct and articulate summaries which lean on sensible SMART recommendations.
